We have secured exclusive use of one of the most historic houses in Cossignano as the base for your Italy tours. The 17th century house “Casa Pansoni” is built into the town walls is the blue plaque home of historian and town chronicler Nicola Pansoni. Sensitive restoration has preserved many of the original architectural features.
Set in the “Centro Storico” (historic centre) the house is just seconds from the restaurant “Castello de Marte”, where you will enjoy most of your meals and for your Italian Food and Flavours cooking schools in Italy. The house is the ideal base for taking in the atmosphere, relaxing between cooking sessions and exploring the refined charm of the delightfully historic Italian hill town of Cossignano.

The casa Pansoni has been sensitively decorated with historical fixtures and artefacts from the region. Some of the decor has been salvaged from from the house itself, with items dating back hundreds of years. One beautiful example is a early 19th century upright piano. As well as modern comforts such as free wifi and central heating you will be staying in a building full of atmosphere. Truly evocative of Italian history.
All the luxury double bedrooms have beautifully appointed ensuite facilities and views to the old town or across the landscape to the sea. It is difficult to imagine a more delightful place to stay to experience history and atmosphere redolent of Italy for your holiday at our cooking schools in Italy.

The extraordinary cantina (wine cellar) was built deep into the cold walls of the town. From an ancient corridor in the lower floor of the house a passageway leads down to a stone staircase. The decent winds around and under the foundations of the property, your way lit by dramatic modern lighting which illuminates a message scratched into the brick work by the original builders, the construction date 1659!
Casa Montalto: Pool and Gardens
If you ever feel the need of a short break from the cooking lessons or tours, you are always welcome to relax by the pool in the beautifully managed gardens of Debby’s villa Casa Montalto, just 10 minutes drive from Cossignano.
