Cooking School Italy: Wine tastings
Wine and Italy are synonymous. Italy produces more wine than any other country on earth. One third of all bottles of wine are produced in Italy. It is safe to say the Italians know a thing or two about wine production. Wine tastings in Italy are a must for any fan of Italian wines, or any fan of wines, or any fan of Italy! Food and Flavours cooking school Italy is the ideal holiday.
Every wine lover knows about the famous Italian Chianti, Montepulciano,, Frascati, Bardolino, Prosecco, Soave, Valpolicella etc.. but each region of Italy has many, many more less well known but no less excellent wines.
As part of our cooking school Italy holiday you will visit our favourite cantinas Fiorano and or D’Ercoli. On the tours you will meet with the makers who will explain the details of all aspects of production from grape to bottle and of course guide you through the tasting.
While the climate, soil condition and landscape all have an effect on the taste of the wine produced, the most important factors affecting the wine are care of the vines, harvest and production techniques. On our visits you will have the opportunity to learn from the experts about some of these factors and how they can be used to influence the final taste of a wine.
